Claudia Nygaard, Suzi Ragsdale, Alison Prestwood, & Annie Mosher are “Wonderful Women Who Write”. All four Nashville songwriters have impressive individual credits, but not only are these women great writers, they are also great friends. Their enjoyment and appreciation of each other is obvious, as is their respect for each other’s work, and their show is filled with banter, humor, and engaging storytelling. The “Dubs” create an evening of not only great music, but also great entertainment.
SUZI RAGSDALE was born to make music. The daughter of pop and country hit maker Ray Stevens, she made her recording debut while still in kindergarten as part of the children’s chorus on his Grammy Award winning 1970 smash “Everything Is Beautiful”. Since then she has recorded six albums of her own, Her songs have been recorded by Dierks Bentley, Miranda Lambert, Jamey Johnson, Anne Murray, Billy Dean, Pam Tillis, Suzy Bogguss, and others. She has sung background harmony vocals on more than 100 albums – including those of Guy Clark, Darrell Scott, Suzy Bogguss, and Hank Williams Jr. Suzi also served long stints in the bands of Guy Clark and Darrell Scott. https://www.suziragsdale.com
ALISON PRESTWOOD is a top session bass player in Nashville who has played on well over 13,500 songs, including hit records with Blake Shelton, Trace Adkins, and many others. Nominated four times by the Academy of Country Music for ACM Bass Player of the Year, she has toured extensively with such artists as Patty Loveless, Rodney Crowell, Shawn Colvin, Olivia Newton-John, and Peter Frampton. CLAUDIA NYGAARD is a former Music Row staff songwriter who writes songs with a daredevil’s vulnerability and zero self-censorship, then delivers them with an amber honey voice. A winner of many songwriting awards including the Kerrville Folk Festival “New Folk” Songwriting competition, and the Tumbleweed Music Festival Songwriting competition, her latest album Lucky Girl climbed to #3 on the Folk Alliance Radio Chart. Last year Claudia added playwright to her credits when her children’s musical made its debut at a Massachusetts theater. She tours internationally, and has performed in 48 states and ten foreign countries. She is currently in the midst of recording her next album “To Race The Wind” scheduled for a June 2025 release. https://www.claudianygaard.com
ANNIE MOSHER began singing and songwriting as a child in rural Vermont. She moved to Nashville and began performing with the songwriter collective Girls With Guitars, and soon after won the Kerrville Folk Festival “New Folk” songwriting competition. She also began playing regularly at Nashville’s Bluebird Café, where British pop icon and Beatles producer Alan Parsons heard her song “Goldfish” and decided to record it.
