Janie & Austin are a duo in Nashville, Tennessee—born and raised in Ohio, Janie & Austin met in college and have been making music together ever since. Austin’s passion for jazz and rock guitar influence their instrumental sound with extended harmony and bluesy melodies. Janie is a classically trained pianist who learned to sing by listening to her favorite musical theatre albums, and Carole King’s Tapestry on repeat. Their Instagram and YouTube channel is home to covers of their favorite songs, some reaching over 30,000 views.

Janie & Austin’s debut EP, Down From The North, features four songs they wrote after putting down roots in Nashville. Each track has a distinct style, inspired by artists such as Bob Dylan, Fiona Apple, and The Beatles
