City Winery Nashville Presents Dwayne O'Brien and Friends: A Song Or Two w/ guests Ryan Griffin and Ava Suppelsa live on February 24th.

Dwayne O'Brien

In 1988, O'Brien co-founded the country band Little Texas which went on to chart 15 top-ten singles, three number-ones and sell over eight million albums on the Warner Brothers label. The group also collected three Grammy nominations and garnered the Academy of Country Music award for Vocal Group of the Year, and the CMA award for Album of the Year for their contribution of "Peaceful Easy Feeling" to Common Thread: The Songs of the Eagles with O'Brien on lead vocals. O'Brien has enjoyed success as a songwriter, having co-written most of the band's hits including the number-two "Kick a Little," and the number-one country and pop crossover hit "What Might Have Been." O'Brien also co-wrote the Hall and Oates hit "A Promise Ain't Enough." Dwayne continues to tour with Little Texas, write with the next generation of artists and songwriters and teaching music business courses at Belmont University's Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business in Nashville, Tennessee.

Ryan Griffin

What leads to a powerful career in country music is not solely pure talent, that of which Red Street Records’ artist Ryan Griffin has a plethora, but also an honest voice and a fearless attitude. Growing up on a farm, learning unparalleled lessons of hard work, Ryan simultaneously developed his passion for country music. At the young age of seventeen, he brought his unwavering determination to Nashville and hit the ground running. From co-writing Kelsea Ballerini’s #1 hit song “Dibs” to opening for major acts like Lady A and Old Dominion, Griffin has paved the way for his own music story. With millions of streams under his belt, Ryan has garnered critical attention as one of Rolling Stone’s 10 New Country Artists You Need to Know and has been highlighted on Ones to Watch lists by AOL, AXS, Country Fancast, NY Country Swag, PopDust and Thought Catalog. As Red Street Country’s flagship artist, Ryan’s single “Salt, Lime & Tequila” saw great success, leading the way for incredible new music.

Ava Suppelsa

At just 27, Ava Suppelsa has had a career that levels with songwriters twice her age. Born and raised in Chicago, she made the leap to Boston to study at Berklee College of Music until relocating at 19 to Nashville to pursue her career in songwriting. Her songs have been recorded by Carly Pearce, Keith Urban, John Paul White, Avery Anna, Jamie O’Neal, Ryan Griffin, Flatland Cavalry and more. Ryan Griffin’s breakout single “Salt, Lime and Tequila”, which was co-penned by Ava, went #1 on Sirius XM’s The Highway and reached the top 50 on Billboard. Ava’s credits have amassed over 100 million streams, charted on both Canadian and American country radio and been featured on Spotify’s “Hot Country” and “New Music Friday” playlists numerous times. Ava signed a worldwide publishing deal in 2020 with King Pen Music and Warner Chappell Nashville. She also founded and actively runs Hope On The Row, a non-profit organization that serves Nashville’s unhoused community
